Not convinced? Well what about if I show you a photo which was published in a local paper, the Falmouth Packet:
Okay, not the clearest of pictures but this is what the lady, Mary, who sent in the photo said of the sighting:
"... it looked like an elephant waving its trunk, but the trunk was a long neck with a small head at the end, like a snake's head. It had humps on its back which moved in a funny way... the animal frightened me. I would not like to see it any closer. I do not like the way it moved when swimming."
A Mr. Holmes purports to have taken a video of Morgawr, see the BBC website - which states that a forensic scientist has viewed the video and "'has confirmed that it is 100% genuine.'" Only trouble with this is that the actual video isn't anywhere on the Internet.
But there have been many other sightings.
Examples
July 1976: 25 miles south of Lizard Point. Fishermen John Cock and George Vinnicombe claim to have seen a creature whose neck reared 4 feet up in the water. They estimated the animal's length at 22 feet.
August 1985: Gerran's Bay. Christopher and Susan Waldron of King's Stanley, Gloucestershire spotted the creature whilst on holiday. Susan was watching her husband swimming in the sea, when she noticed a large silhouette under the surface behind him. The shape was described to be that of a large, long necked creature.
But sightings go back to 1876 when fisherman, again at Gerran's Bay, supposedly caught a serpent in their fishing nets. There are dozens of other sightings of Morgawr but, as with the Loch Ness Monster, and some would say with UFOs as well, there are no clear photos.
When I walk the cliffs of Cornwall I have may camera at the ready but nothing seen other than harmless basking sharks, seals and dolphins in the distance - one day, perhaps.

Jan. 15 began as a typical evening in Friday Harbor for Jim Dunn. He and his wife were driving north on Mullis Street planning to attend a lecture at the University of Washington Laboratories on salmon migration.
At about 6:15 p.m. Dunn noticed three orange lights in the sky. He thought a plane was making a "very low approach" to land at the airport, which he thought was odd. He next assumed the lights must be a helicopter, but there was something weird about the movements.
Dunn said he stopped his car and pulled over by Browne's Home Center to watch the lights.
"It was three orange lights moving independently," Dunn said. "At first I rationalized it was a drone, but they were moving too rapidly for a drone."
He said the lights traveled roughly west above Spring Street as if coming from the harbor.
Dunn, a retired architect who has lived on San Juan Island since 2000, said it was the first time he saw something that could be considered a UFO....

This means it has the right kind of star, is far enough from the star (but not too far) for liquid water to exist, and is far enough from the center of the Milky Way galaxy to be safe from dangerous cosmic rays. To set the record straight, the discovery is not really a world, but a "planet candidate," and must be verified by other telescopes. And other factors need to be in place to make the planet "habitable" for life. Still, it's a unique discovery. It's what the Kepler team was hoping to achieve. Why is the possibility that life exists on other worlds such a big deal? Well, I'm not sure. Regardless of what this discovery signifies for humankind, it's an impressive technological feat. If scientists could confirm that life actually does exist on this planet (which they have no way of doing), a fair question would be "So what?" What difference would it make to us Earthlings? Would it be just knowing that life exists elsewhere in the universe? Again, why would that knowledge be significant? The report says that the planet is only 600 light years away. Well, maybe we should send a recon mission to check it out, then. Only 600? It's 700 miles to Uncle George's house in Carthage, Missouri, and we go there all the time. If it's only 600 light years away, let's get going!Wait a second. Let's do the math. Light travels about 700 million miles per hour. The fastest spacecraft ever launched by humankind travels at 50,000 miles per hour. Say we could build a high-tech propulsion system and get the velocity up to a million miles per hour. Zoom! Zoom! Even that blinding speed is 1/700th the speed of light. So it would take the recon vehicle about 400,000 years to get there. And another 400,000 years to get back.Yes, 600 light years is relatively near (our Milky Way galaxy is more than 100,000 light years across), but that's 800 millenia for a round trip. I guarantee you that by the time they got back, no one would care what the answer was.That far into the future, it's likely that there would be no people left on Earth to hear the answer.But wait...if there's life on the planet, maybe it's intelligent, and advanced. Maybe they could come to us! No, that's not realistic. We could beam a radio signal to them, but it would take 600 years for the signal to reach them. And even if they traveled at the speed of light, it would take them 600 years to make the journey. It's too far to go. So this news is very interesting, and exciting in kind of an ephemeral, geeky sort of way. It seems probable, even almost certain that life beyond Earth exists somewhere in our galaxy. One of the most important characteristics of an alien planet is whether or not it falls into whats called the habitable zone -- a Goldilocks-like range of not-too-close, not-too-far distances from the parent star that might allow the planet to host life.
Now scientists have redefined the boundaries of the habitable zone for alien planets, potentially kicking out some exoplanets that were thought to fall within it, and maybe allowing a few that had been excluded to squeeze in.
"This will have a significant impact on the number of exoplanets that are within habitable zone," said research team leader Ravi Kumar Kopparapu of Penn State University.
The habitable zone defines the region where a planet might be able to retain liquid water on its surface. Any closer to the star and water would vaporize away; any farther, and it would freeze to ice. But water in its liquid state is what scientists are after, since that is thought to be a prerequisite for life.
The new definition of the habitable zone is based on updated atmospheric databases called HITRAN (high-resolution transmission molecular absorption) and HITEMP (high-temperature spectroscopic absorption parameters), which give the absorption parameters of water and carbon dioxide - two properties that strongly influence the atmospheres of exoplanets, determining whether those planets could host liquid water....

(MUFON Case: 46984) I was talking on the telephone looking at the ocean. What made me first take notice was the brightness of the fireball and the pulsation of the light. Note: The 2 fireballs were sighted in positions the sky where no stars are noted in a standard celestial constellation map. I have lived on the East Coast of North Carolina for 5 years and I have never seen any stars located in this area of the sky. The objects were located in the East in the 2 o?clock position just above the ocean. The lights were colored a reddish/magenta, larger than a star in diameter, and appearing as a bright light. The objects were approximately the size of two stars combined and circular in diameter. The lights came on brightly and pulsated in color becoming brighter and shutting off. The lights came back on in different positions of the sky moving to a different position each time they came on. Note: The sky was cloudy and there were no other stars in the sky.
